VIDEO RECAP: WEEK 8

Oh, what a week!

I escaped from the vegan farm, and then proceeded to eat Costa Rican food and watched a spider spinning a web and chatted with a fellow Canadian that wants to take you OUT…

Here are seven videos to get you on the road.

[FEBRUARY 21] Leaving the farm was chock-filled with un-sentimentality. Why? Because I wanted some eggs and coffee, dammit! But who knew finding a cup of coffee in Costa Rica could be such an ordeal?

[FEBRUARY 22] There comes a time when a man’s beard becomes a breeding ground for small mammals. At this point, there is only one course of action.

[FEBRUARY 23] People have all been thinking that I’ve come to Costa Rica to sit on the beach! Nothing could be further from the truth! For example, just today I read four entire chapters of “Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance.” I’m working hard, I tell you.

[FEBRUARY 24] Casado: This simple, standard dish, often referred to as “comida tipica,” is the backbone of Costa Rican cuisine and includes rice, black beans, salad and some form of grilled meat. It is not raw and not vegan.

[FEBRUARY 25] It’s always nice to meet up with friends on the road. So when Robert Sharp from OUT Adventures invited me over to his swanky hotel for a dip in the pool, I begrudgingly said yes

[FEBRUARY 26] Many creatures call Manuel Antonio National Park their home. This spider is one of them. And we just happend to catch her catching lunch.
