VIDEO RECAP: WEEK 47
Between chillin’ with a duck in tuk-tuk, surviving a crazy 22-hour bus adventure, devouring delicious soup and offsetting 21.05 tonnes of CO2, it was a busy week.
Oh, and did I mention that I cooked a rodent?
Seriously.

[NOVEMBER 21] When I saw the tuk-tuk pull up to the bus station this morning, I knew that I was in for an adventure. It was a three hour journey that I won’t soon forget. Here’s a quick glimpse.

[NOVEMBER 22] My new friend Andi is an American living in Laos. He received an invite to a wedding, and extended it to me as well. This is what happened. I was loving it.
* * *
[NOVEMBER 23] I had heard great things about the Tamarind Cooking Class in Luang Prabang. So I signed myself up. And then I got brave and cooked with… wait for it… you’re going to love this… [you have to watch!]

[NOVEMBER 24] We had some great questions this month (over 30 of them)! But I only had time for four: Why are you growing your beard? Are you booking flights as you go? Is Laos as wild as it seems? And where will you be in January? See all the extra responses here: http://www.danielbaylis.ca/travel/30-questions/

[NOVEMBER 25] A quick shout-out to all the good folks who helped me offset the 21.05 tonnes of carbon emissions produced by this year’s journey. Please excuse my bad hair.
* * *
[NOVEMBER 26] “You win some. You lose some.” Never is this ol’ adage more true that with travel. And today I was a loser. It was the bus-ride from hell…
* * *
[NOVEMBER 27] I was a hungry tiger. So I did what all hungry tigers did – I went on the prowl for something delicious. I found a big bowl of soup that contained noodles, pork, spring onions and mystery balls…

Hahaha… too funny, Daniel. That’s a pampered duck, having her own pink duck carrier and all
