Dear Family and Friends, It was a very long 36-hour transfer from Cape Town. But I arrived to Marrakech in weary, yet optimistic spirits.
Morocco became a fanaticized destination at a very young age. As a boy of tens years, I would devour books about animals, and I soon came across American writer who penned wonderful tales about horses. Her name was Marguerite Henry.
Dear Family and Friends, A new year of classes began on Monday morning for students at Collegio San Francisco de Asis in the neighborhood of La Esperanza (Trujillo, Peru). And I was there to remind them that white westerns are indeed the weirdest of all races.
My destination this month is Peru. And my volunteer work is teaching the English language to elementary school children.
“THE ONLY WAY TO BE FREE IS TO BE EDUCATED” The above quote greets visitors to the organization website that has agreed to host me for the month of March. Horizon Peru is a community initiative that provides free education to a community that struggles economically. My volunteer time will be most likely spent teaching [...]
