Dear Family and Friends, This week I officially reach the two-third mark of my journey. As a response to this milestone, I am currently experiencing a mixture of: A) awe B) exhaustion
Sometimes we might get caught up in our own lives and forget that humans are indeed, like, totally awesome. To elaborate on this bold statement, I have provided some supporting evidence in the form of a video that displays a man named Danny MacAskill, and his crazy wicked skills riding a bike.
This week I got a wee little care package from home, I ate some fish n’ chips and chatted with a birthday boy. And then cried like a lassie at the Dolly Parton concert. Aye.
My second week in Scotland was just as busy as the first. It turns out that volunteering for the Fringe will require 98% of one’s waking life. So I opted to find inspiration around the office…
Dear Family and Friends, I write you from a rainy Sunday night in Edinburgh. It’s been a busy week of volunteerism at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival.
When I was a boy of 18 years, I was traveling in New Zealand and a song came on the radio. The lyrics sang, “I can’t stand myself. I’m being held up by invisible men. Still life on a shelf when I got my mind on something else.”
