Dear Family and Friends, And so I’ve reached an ending of sorts. If our lives are divided into a series of chapters, I have nearly reached the conclusion of one. And what an incredible chapter it has been.

Dear family and friends, Hello my darlings! This week I write you from the bustling city of Sydney, Australia’s national capital biggest city. The region is experiencing unseasonably chilly temperatures, but the people have been nothing but warm and welcoming. So the universe is balanced.

Oh Hiya! Just a quick note from Oz! I arrived safely on Friday morning after a long red-eye flight from Bangkok, with a transfer through Kuala Lumpur.

Dear Family and Friends, Picture this. It’s 2 AM. You’re sitting on a broken down bus in the middle of the Laotian countryside. Despite attempts by an on-board ‘mechanic’ to get the wheels back in motion, the bus hasn’t moved in the past three hours.

Dear Family and Friends, It’s been another really stellar week in Laos. I am constantly impressed by the delicious cuisine and the friendliness of my interactions. And this week, I had the opportunity to see more of the dramatic Laotian countryside.

Dear Family and Friends, Oh what a world! My week in this world has brought a variety of adventures, some fun and some… errr… rather nasty.

Dear Family and Friends, Sa-bai-dee! I write you today from the charming town of Luang Prabang. Located in the north of Laos along the slow moving Mekong River, Luang Prabang is a UNESCO world-heritage site with delicious food and a unique architectural history.

Dear Family and Friends, My head is a mishmash of thoughts and experiences and half-baked ideas. So rather than a cohesive narrative of a specific experience that happened during my week, I offer up a series of snapshots into where my body and my mind meandered over the past seven days.
