It was my last week in Buenos Aires, and my last week in the “Americas.” To recognize the closing of this chapter, I decided to become a Porteño. And speaking of chapter, I started a book club!
Yesterday, I was sitting here in Buenos Aires, clacking away on my keyboard, and doing my usual business of editing videos, sending emails and saving the world by spending too much time on Facebook, when a lovely (and demanding!) note popped into my inbox.
I was excited to find a good balance this week between pointing the camera at myself and pointing the camera local people and culture. What do you prefer? Baylis footage? Or locational footage?

Dear Family and Friends, When I wrote you last from Buenos Aires, I was dealing with the recent effects of a night spent snuggling with bed bugs. This is not an experience that I recommend. But I’m happy to announce that, over the course of the week, my wounds have healed.

Dear Family and Friends, It’s been a bumpy week of reestablishing my health and trying to find my Argentinian groove. But despite the beautifulness of the city of Buenos Aires and the friendliness of my hosts, I hit a bit of a wall this week.
As you know, my dear reader, a big part of my adventure this year is volunteering with various organizations around the globe. This gives me the opportunity to engage with communities, as well as to do a task that I might not have ever had the opportunity of doing.
